Great for canning!,

This kit is great for people who are just starting to can foods. I did not have any problems with the magnet being too weak... actually it was almost too strong. It would be about impossible to drop a jar when you hold them with the jar lifter. The funnel didn't melt when I used it, but I didn't run boiling water through it either. The bubble popper/headspace tool is very useful for knowing how much liquid to put into the jar, it has markings 1/4 in, 1/2 in, 3/4 in, 1 inch. I didn't need to pop bubbles with it though. My pickle making adventure was successful!

I'm still fairly new to canning stuff. But when I first started it I thought "heck why do I need these things" trust me...it makes life so much easier! There is a wide mouth funnel which is so nice because they you don't spill the hot jam (or whatever you're making) all over the place and then have to wipe hot jam while you are trying to do everything else. There is a magnet on the end of the stick to help get the jar lids out of the hot water (sooooo much easier then using two forks)...and a jar gripper which is a lot easier to use. I didn't worry if I was going to drop anything I knew it was gripped tightly. So easy to use - good quality and affordable. You don't have to spend a lot of money for it! I got ours at Walmart for 6.40! You can't go wrong!!!
Exact tools - right price!,

I knew it was time to replace my tools when I couldn't find two of them. Its great to have them in a package like this and at a reasonable price. Thanks!
