Maximatic EPC-607 6 Qt Electric Pressure Cooker

I love this pressure cooker. I made some of the best chicken parm ever in it. And it is great for stock. and soup... and beets are great in it and so quick. I just honestly cant complain...

I know that the PSI of this pressure cooker being electronic is lower than the highest of 15 in the manual ones. However, i love the ability to "set it and forget it" I would hate to worry about the stove being on while the pressure cooker is on.

I love how i can sear something inside of this and then turn on the pressure part and finish it off in one part.


and , i also love that the company stood by their product when i had a problem. After i made my chicken parm the bottom was ruined, i soaked and i used a magic eraser and to my horror the non stick coating came off, i was really angry b/c this is not a cheap item and because i use it all the time!

I bought mine from HSN, and had to return it because it was defective. I made a beef stew in it, using their recommendations but the knob at the top would not rest on airtight, and steam was lightly escaping though it, I tried to settle it by putting on a pair of gloves and lightly tapping it, but it would not settle. I let the machine go through it's cycle. The beef stew turned out nicely, however the bottom of the container was badly scorched. It cleaned easily with warm soap and water using a non abrasive sponge. I called maximatic and their customer service was great, (I couldn't find where to place the condenser cup). I returned it for a refund, because of the defect. I did not ask for an exchange because one thing I do not like about this product is that there is no handle on the lid top, its on the front, and removal is cumbersome. This Pressure is outstanding!, Not only is it super fast, it makes anything you cook tender and tasty. I have made chocolate cake, custard, chicken stew, and today I only had some frozen breaded Chicken tenders in freezer, so I threw 4 of them, 3 cups of broth and lots of fresh and frozen veggies& 1/2 cup dried un-soaked beans. In 15 minutes it was done and sooooo good. It's NOT scary to use; will save so much time with 1 pot meals; not to mention all the money you might have spent at fast food places, because you don't have the time of energy to cook.
