THe new rack looks like it will last a long time as it is galvanized. Our old one turned into a pile of rust. Looking forward to many years of canning!

Looked nice, but rusted in no time,

I used it twice and it's now covered in rust. Hold out for a stainless steel one. This one is galvanized (theoretically) and (theoretically) won't rust. It rusted up with 2 uses.
Also, when you raise the handles, they are "wider" than the rack itself. Because this rack just fit my pan, there was no way on earth the handles would stay up. I always had to use 2 large paper clips to hold the handles up against the sides of the pan so I could put jars in / remove them.
Held the jars nicely, though. But overall? Definitely look for something else. This was a waste of money.

The item received was just as advertised. Be careful when ordering the diameter to fit into your pressure cooker. I ordered and found the canning rack to be just a "hair" too big for my pressure cooker. I am not returning it due to the shipping cost to return.
