Great for Steaming Maryland Crabs!!!,

This is a pretty big pot! I'd say you could steam about 3 1/2 dozen or a little more medium sized Maryland crabs. We steamed 3 dozen (but the crabs were a little small) and there was room left for a few more. The insert pot has holes at the bottom and sides which helps them steam faster than when the hole are just at the bottom.

This is a huge pot! Great for Maryland steamed crabs. Pot is almost too big for the stove - but works great on a propane burner outside. Crabs do steam a little faster because of all the holes in the insert pot. Also, clean-up is a challenge because it's big for the kitchen sink, but finish/granite ware does clean-up well. Great value.

I love this pot, but beware, 33 quarts means HUGE. The pot takes up half of my stove - it crosses almost two burners. It's great for what I want to use it for, (mostly hot water canning and tamales) but I really didn't visualize how big it was.
