I purchased this to add to my set of le creuset cookware. this item certainly didn't disappoint. it's a great addition to make if you don't feel like hauling out the heavier le creuset pots to make supper. i highly recommend this purchase if you are a loyal le creuset user!

Hmm. I know they can do clever things with steel these days, but this pot seems just like aluminium - it dents when you tap a wooden spoon on the side, and it's very, very lightweight. The handle on the lid is not the typical, heavy Le Creuset handle, but a cheap plastic one that I keep having to screw back on. And the enamel has scratched all over, leaving a weird grey-brown staining when you cook anything acidic, like tomatoes.

I bought this a year ago, mainly to cook pasta, and to be fair, it does the job. But for soups and stews, it seems to leave a funny taste, and the pot is always stained that strange colour. Granted, when I got mine, it was a bargain at $39.99, but maybe some bargains are too good to be true.
