Like other reviewers I like this pot. We make steel cut oats in the morning works perfect. Just a couple of items. The little "hot wings" sign does not come with it (I consider that a plus). The other thing you should know that if you order the yellow, the designations around the dial are hard to read. Now we memorize that first click is warm, then low then high but just to let you know that white on yellow is hard to read.

this is the perfect size for 2 people. I make oatmeal in it every other day. It does cook food fast bc of its size so you need to play around with cooking times. Im buying another one for my boyfriend's place.

I was disappointed that I cannot trust this slow cooker not to run dry if I leave it all day. I also found I needed more liquid if I put it on to cook porridge overnight. I had a superb, if ancient, large slow cooker in the Uk which i had to sadly donate to my brother when I came to the USA. I could leave casseroles cooking for 10 or more hours with no worries. I guess I shall have to go for a bigger slow cooker if I want to put a casserole in in the morning and leave it all day to cook, but for one person a big cooker is not ideal.
