Summary: Here are the cons 2006-07-31
Comment: Con: The electrical parts are thin and flimsy. The price is still worth it but don't bang this unit around.
Con: The ceramic inner piece stains and is hard to get clean.
Con: The transparent lid jumps and bangs when it gets hot, and sputters water around the unit. I find I have to tip the lid while it cooks, so I have to add water frequently.
Con: I had no idea how to use a slow cooker when it arrived and after reading the literature, I still didn't know.
All that being said, I am very pleased with this cooker. It consistently makes me a week worth of meals at once without too much bother.

Summary: big proctor-silex slow-cooker 2006-05-08
Comment: I've had 1 of these b/4 and liked it. The inner container got broken so I bought this 1 as a repacement. Very good product and large caoacity.
Comment: the larger capacity slow cooker was exactly as advertsied, an unusual occurance in today's world. We are completely satisified with the product and the shipment of it.
