Product Review

Zisha, also known as Purple Clay, is rich in natural minerals: kaolin, quartz and mica, with a high content of iron oxide. Zisha cookware contains no harmful substances. The porous surface assists in even cooking and the minerals help retain natural juices, essential nutrients and vitamins.

Was looking for a lead-free crockpot and emailed this company to find out details about this product. They responded saying it was 100% zisha clay. I've been happy with my purchase so far.

I got this to replace a crock pot that broke in a move. While looking for a replacement I learned about the lead in crock pot issue, and opted to try this. I have used it 5 times now and it works just as good as any I have ever had. I am happy with it.

When I received the Zisha Slow Cooker, my first thought was that I had stepped right back into the 70's as this pot is bright orange and has little veggie pictures on it! But the real reason that I purchased the Zisha was for the wonderful clay pot insert which takes the flavors of slow cooking one step further!!! Clay pots are my favorite method of cooking and this slow cooker is no exception! The clay insert is also guaranteed to be lead-free and I had often wondered about my 20+ year old cooker. Being new, Zisha cooks more on hot side so I start dishes on high or auto and switch to low if I'm home. Otherwise, I throw everything in early and let it cook on low for 8-10 hours! Could not be happier!
