Comment: The Teflon peels very easily and you will need to replace it within a year of use if you use it about once a week.

The truth be told I had basically the same pot from a different company that peeled as well.

I am searching for this same product with a non peeling surface.

Any Ideas?

Comment: Bought this to carry in the RV. Used it to cook a trukey breast a couple days ago, By keeping all the steam in, the breast was very jucie. Wish it had a stanless steel cover instead of glass for carring to the camp grounds.

Comment: I just used it for the first time and was very happy to find out that the pot handles stay cool. It cooks way hotter than my last one.

Comment: Do not buy this slow cooker! I have had one for a couple of years now ... the teflon started coming off my first pot and West Bend replaced it and advised me not to wash it in the dishwasher. Now less than one year later, the teflon is coming off the second one too! It has never been in the dishwasher and has never been used on its highest setting! I have used it on the slow cooking high setting which is about midrange for the knob. I am very disappointed in this crock pot and have purchased another brand!

Comment: I love the Stainless Steel crock pot,,,i think its great because u can use it from the stove top and then into the oven.. the problem is the base... The instructions tell u to only use the warm setting to keep the food warm,, and only use the LO, MED, and High setting to "cook the food".. well i find that on the LO setting the food, once enough juices are collected starts to boil at a rapid rate.. Although this is a problem i find that if i only use the "Warm" setting(of course after browning the meat on the stove top) that the food is perfect.... Another thing,, if you want a Crock pot that u can leave for about 12 hours or longer(such as an older model crock pot) then this is not the one for you,,, the food cooks at half the time as a "traditional" crockpot,,, Now the very very wonderful Versatilty of the base is such a great feature! The base becomes a GRIDDLE FOR PANCAKES!! and it works perfectly!!!!!!!!
